How to install Semiologic Pro with FTP

To install Semiologic Pro, you will need a FTP client. I use and recommend FileZilla, but you can use whichever client you choose, it is what you feel comfortable with. I have tried almost every FTP on the planet and like FileZilla because of its ease-of-use and because it is real fast.

You need to first open FileZilla and on the left is you computer files and open the directory where you stash Semiologic Pro. FileZilla will look like this:

You then need to connect to your server. You need to add the URL, without http:// or www., your username and password for your server. Click connect or whatever the case maybe and connect to your server.

server-sideOnce connect, you need to highlight all your Semiologic Pro files (CTRL+A) and click on it and hold, then drag your files across to the server side and drop the files in, which will overwrite your files on the server:

Semiologic Pro comes with WordPress included, so you will be overwriting your original WordPress installation. Don't worry, though, you won't lose any of your settings. Once the files have been transferred to your server, you are good to go. Just go into you admin area and click Appearance>Themes and select Semiologic Pro or Reloaded, whichever the case may be. That's it. You have now installed Semiologic Pro.
