To create a database for Semiologic Pro or any software, for that matter, using cPanel is a fairly simple thing to do. A lot of people get nervous about creating a database, thinking it is too difficult to do. Well, I am here to expel that myth and to show you it is very simple to do. Don't ya just love cPanel?

First you need to open cPanel and and click on MySQL to open it…

cpanelWhen inside the control panel for MySQL, you need to create a new database. Give it a name, which can be anything you want….

create-database

Once you have created the database, then you need to create a username and password for your database…

user-passwordWhen you have created the username and password, you need to then assign that username to the database. Select the username and the database you just created and assign ALL privileges to that…

assign-user-to-databaseThat's it! You have now created a database. Write down the database name, username and password and store in an easily findable location for when you need it.
